Kinnow rate to be 1000 per mound in the ongoing season for processing units.

Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Standing Committee on Agriculture, Former Chairman and PBF Vice President, Chaudhry Ahmad Jawad said kinnow rates for farmer would be around 1000 per mound subject to quality.

This year 2020-21 from kinnow exports around $220 million dollars will be hit before national exchequer.

This year crop is in good position due to timely and effective rains.

The export will continue till 1st week of April.

Major destinations will be Middle East, Russia, Ukraine, Srilanaka, Afghanistan and China too.

Jawad said presently, as the demand for citrus fruits containing vitamin C was increasing in the international markets due to coronavirus pandemic, Pakistan remains unable to exploit this unique opportunity to its advantage despite being a prominent producer of citrus fruits.
