Khuhro, two others file nomination papers for Senate.

KARACHI -- Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nisar Khuhro on Friday field his nomination papers for contesting the Senate election on a seat fell vacant after the resignation of former Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Faisal Vawda.

Accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other party leaders, Mr Khuhro filed his nomination along with Aajiz Dhamra and Sarfaraz Rajpar, who are his covering candidate.

The ECP earlier this week announced the schedule for the election on the Senate seat polling for which would held on Jan 25 in the Sindh Assembly building.

Candidates can submit their nomination papers till Jan 9. Lists of the candidates will be displayed on Jan 20.
