Khentii Special Election to Take Place on June 30

Parliament made a decision to hold a special election to fill the empty seat in Parliament from Khentii Province's Kherlen, Murun and Jargaltkhaan soums last October, but the Constitutional Court ruled that if the special election takes place in 2018, it would violate the Constitution and the Law on Elections, which is why the special election was moved to this year.

On February 2, Parliament made the final decision on when the election will be held.
