Al-Khair varsity issued notice on students' petition.

ISLAMABAD -- Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday issued notice to Al-Khair University on a petition filed by its Islamabad campus students after the Higher Education Commission (HEC) refused to recognise their degrees.

After preliminary hearing, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani offered to the petitioners to amend the petition to add the education ministry of Azad Kashmir and the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs as respondents.

Justice Kayani remarked that the status of Al-Khair University was illegal as per an earlier order passed by the court. However, the court advised the petitioners to wait till the decision on the appeal filed against the order as it may go in their favour.
