THIS is with reference to the letter 'KE efficiency' (Oct 30). KE would like to apologize for the less than satisfactory experience the consumer had at our Customer Care Centre in Malir and at other Customer touch points.

As for a change in name, we would like to clarify that as per standard practice, once a consumer has paid the differential security deposit (SD), which is charged in case there is a difference between the sanctioned load and connected load, only then will the change of name be reflected in the next billing cycle. This takes19 days.

K-Electric has simplified the process of applying for a new connection or change of name on the bill. All new owners of properties with existing meters are obligated to apply to KE for a name change. For this, the new owner needs to submit an application requesting a change of name on the bill...
