KATI's recommendations will be presented to the Prime Minister: Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

KARACHI -- Convener of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui says that there is an intention to create 2 industrial and economic zones in Karachi. A policy is being prepared for the promotion of the export industry. He expressed these views while addressing the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI). President Faraz-ur-Rehman, Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, Senior Vice President Nighat Awan, Vice President Muslim Mohammadi, Standing Committee Chairman for Public Relations Ikram Rajput, Former Presidents Farhan-ur-Rehman, Gulzar Feroze, Johar Qandhari, Senator Khaleda Ateeb, MQM's Member National Assembly Muhammad Abu Bakr, Administrator Korangi Sharif Khan, Senior Director Council Javed Khan, Adnan Khan and other were also present.

MQM convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui further said that KATI should give their suggestions which we will take to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. All citizens of Pakistan should get equal rights. He said that in 1998, an agreement was first signed with China for the restoration of steel mills, but unfortunately, the government's priority is not the economy but fulfilling their interests. He said that MQM is struggling with the quota system. People are also now against the quota system, but those who choose merit should be on merit themselves.

Earlier, KATI President Faraz-ur-Rehman said that Karachi is being treated like a stepmother and no one is ready to own Karachi. He said that the country is going through a serious economic crisis but despite this, the ruling class is engrossed in its differences. Blaming each other is going on which is hurting the economy.
