Kashmiris to observe 52nd death anniversary of Ch.Ghulam Abbas on December 18.

MIRPUR (AJK) -- : People of Jammu and Kashmir dwelling either side of the line of control and rest of the world, would observe the 52nd death anniversary of eminent Kashmiri leader and Quaid-e-Kashmir Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas on Wednesday with full due respect and honour coupled with the renewal of the pledge to continue the mission of the departed Kashmiri leader till the liberation of the Indian occupied part of the Jammu Kashmir state from Indian yoke, official sources said on Tuesday.

It would be the gazetted holiday across AJK to mark the death anniversary of the eminent Kashmiri leader of freedom struggle and the first supreme head of the AJK government.

In Mirpur, a special ceremony to observe the anniversary will be held, to be followed by Quran Khawani for the departed soul at Maharoof House Modern Jaboot, in outskirt of Mirpur under the auspices of All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference to offer fateha and pay tributes to the departed hero of the Kashmir freedom struggle and founder of Azad Jammu Kashmir, Raja Zaffar Maharoof, Central Vice President Muslim Conference former Mirpur District Administrator told reporter. Quran Khawani will be held in various parts of AJK territory, occupied state and different parts of the country for the departed soul.

Special meetings will be held at various places in Azad Jammu and Kashmir including Mirpur, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Bhimber, Bagh, Sudhanoti and Rawalakot under the auspices of the All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference to pay tributes to late leader for his remarkable services for...
