PAGE: KASBIT is one of the leading institutes of Pakistan which is producing the best brains for the country. How did you make it possible?

Syed Karamatullah Hussainy: This became possible because of the visionary leadership of our Chancellor Sir Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, determination of our team, focused approach, setting high goals, working collectively towards achieving those goals through following the international standard and meeting the HEC regulations and guidelines.

PAGE: What is your leadership philosophy?

Syed Karamatullah Hussainy: We believe in teamwork and give space to all the players who are expected to perform in the overall growth of the institute. Provide the best possible resources and a conducive and competitive environment so that we all gain our individual goals through meeting institutional targets.

PAGE: What kind of institute will KASBIT be in five to seven years?

Syed Karamatullah Hussainy: Our vision is to make KASBIT an institution which will not only be recognized as a premier player in higher education but it will also be accepted as an institution that will come up with innovative ideas to make our youth compete at international level and make our nation proud of their contributions.

PAGE: Do you believe that part of a university's mission in our modern times is to be an engine of economic growth?

Syed Karamatullah Hussainy: It is a proven fact that higher education institutions are the engines of economic growth. If we scan the world we will see, those regions have achieved economic prominence where education is the first priority of their government.

PAGE: What role do you see KASBIT playing in the local community?

Syed Karamatullah Hussainy: KASBIT is already contributing towards the social development of our society. Over the last two decades, we have been able to change the lives of more than ten thousand families. KASBIT in its initial years gained respect among the social groups which other similar institutes worked for decades to achieve. We have proudly produced the social units for our society.
