Karak people demand repair of dam cracks.

KARAK -- The residents of Bahaderkhel union council here have expressed concern about the cracks having developed in the newly-constructed small dam in Lakray area and demanded it should be repaired immediately.

Speaking at a meeting on Monday, the elders said the dam had been completed with huge funds, but it had developed cracks, posing threat of floods to the local population if the structure was further weakened. They said the dam was built to boost agriculture sector and provide drinking water to the locals, so the cracks should be plugged before it was too late.
