Karachi Administration Takes Proactive Measures to Mitigate Bird-Airplane Collisions.

KARACHI -- The Karachi Commissioner, Muhammad Iqbal Memon, has implemented initiatives to address the issue of frequent bird-airplane collisions in the metropolis, demonstrating the administration's proactive stance on the matter.

Under the guidance of the Malir deputy commissioner, a coordination committee has been formed by Commissioner Memon to effectively tackle the situation. Additionally, a WhatsApp group comprising relevant officials has been established to ensure prompt and efficient action. These developments were announced during a meeting attended by city officials.

Commissioner Memon highlighted the importance of maintaining communication between the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB), Cantonment Board Malir, and the Civil Aviation Authority to swiftly address any untoward incidents.

He emphasized the need for close coordination among all institutions to control the presence of birds in the vicinity of the airport.
