Jobs sought for relatives of deceased trainers.

LAKKI MARWAT -- Bannu Qaumi Jirga has asked the government to increase compensation amount for the families of deceased women vocational trainers and provide jobs to their male relatives.

The jirga was held at the office of traders' body in Bannu city on Sunday which was attended by local elders and political activists.

Four women handicraft teachers affiliated with an NGO were killed by miscreants in Epi town of North Waziristan district on Feb 24.

The elders said the deceased women were the bread earners of their families. They said that the compensation amount of Rs500,000 to each family was not sufficient and the government should increase it.

Malak Maqbool Khan, Kamal Shah, Hafiz Tayyab Shah, Inamul Haq and others spoke on the occasion.
