Jirga imposes Rs8m penalty on warring tribes to settle feud.

SUKKUR -- A jirga held in Jacobabad district on Wednesday settled a running dispute between Ujjan and Kaleri clans by imposing on the two sides Rs4 million each for the death of four clansmen in tit for tat attacks.

The jirga organised at Adam Khan Panhwar village was chaired by former provincial minister Sardar Mir Manzoor Khan Panhwar. He was aided by Sardar Mian Ali Dinu Ujjan, MPA Moazam Ali Abbasi, Najaf Khan Kumario, MPA Naeem Kharal, Atta Hussain Kaleri, Syed Bachal Shah, Sakhi Soabdar Khan Jatoi and others.
