JI to move apex court for local govt elections.

LAHORE -- The Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) has announced approaching the Supreme Court for local government elections, saying the Election Commission of Pakistan is incomplete, which is violation of the Constitution, and the government is not taking serious steps to conduct the local government polls.

Talking to a delegation of Jamiat Ittehadul Ulema Pakistan at Mansoora on Saturday, JI Naib Emir Liaqat Baloch said the PTI government also was following the tracks of the PML-N and PPP governments and showing reluctance in announcing the schedule for LG elections.
