JI seeks judicial probe into killing of Bara teacher.

KHYBER -- Jamaat-i-Islami on Saturday demanded judicial inquiry into the killing of a resident of Bara in an alleged police encounter in Peshawar about six days ago.

Addressing a protest in Dharna area of Bara, JI provincial chief Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan asked the provincial government to constitute a judicial inquiry commission with chief justice of Peshawar High Court as its head to independently probe the alleged extrajudicial killing of Irfanullah, a school teacher who had gone missing in early June before his alleged killing at the hands of counter terrorism department sleuths in Peshawar on June 22.

Senator Mushtaq said that exemplary punishment should be awarded to those involved in the killing of Irfanullah as he had no criminal record nor was he affiliated with any outlawed organisation.
