JI demands formation of full court in election case.

LAHORE -- The creation of a complete court on the election suo motu issue, according to Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq, might dispel the idea of a schism among top court justices.

Speaking to the media in Multan, he said the polarisation produced in society by the PDM, PPP and PTI was the cause of the separation among and within institutions.

He said parliamentary parties should start a dialogue on the election agenda if they were interested to save the already fragile democracy.

Similarly, he suggested the national institutions, particularly, the judiciary, the military establishment and the election commission should stand neutral in the best interest of the nation and the country.

He said the unity government of the PDM failed to deliver and the national polls were the only solution to the prevailing crises. The people of Pakistan must be allowed to elect their representatives in a free and fair manner.
