Jhelum gets Rs2.10b for PCP schemes: Mehmood-ur-Rasheed.

LAHORE -- Punjab Minister for Local Government and Community Development (LGCD) Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed Friday laid the foundation stone of development projects in Jhelum worth Rs2.10billion under the Punjab Cities Programme (PCP).

Former federal minister Chaudhry Fawad, Coordinator PCP Muhammad Ashraf Sohna and Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Nauman Hafeez were also present.

Speaking on this occasion, Mian Mehmood-ul-Rasheed said that the PCP had been started with the support of the World Bank for the development of small cities that would improve sanitation system of Jhelum city to the great extent. He said that sanitation and supply of clean drinking water was among the priorities of the Punjab government.
