Jhelum gets Rs 2.10 bln for development projects : Minister.

LAHORE -- Punjab Minister for Local Government and Community Development (LGCD) Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed laid the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 2.10 billion under the Punjab Cities Programme (PCP) in Jhelum on Friday. Coordinator PCP Muhammad Ashraf Sohna and Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Nauman Hafeez were also present, said a handout issued here. Speaking at a gathering, Mehmoodur Rasheed said that the Punjab Cities Programme had been started with support of the World Bank for development of small cities that would improve sanitation system of Jhelum city to a great extent.
