MIRPUR (AJK) -- :An educational conference was held in the state's metropolis on Sunday under the aegis of Institute of Dialogue, Development and Diplomatic Studies (IDDDS) in collaboration with Azad Kashmir Private Schools and Colleges Association (APSCA) to mark Black Day in protest against the continual forced Indian occupation of the disputed state for the last 72 years since the first black day of October 27, 1947.

Speaking on this occasion, Director IDDDS Dr. Waleed Rasool said Kashmiris observe October 27, as Black Day every year against the Indian Occupation of bulk of the Jammu and Kashmir through forcibly landing its armed troops this day in Srinagar against the wishes of the people of the State.

He recalled that India had committed before the UNO to accept the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to decide about their future through a plebiscite under the UN resolutions but Delhi didn't fulfill their commitment despite passage of 72 years. 'Nehru brought Kashmir issue to the United Nations (UN) but his successors denied to fulfill UN resolutions on Kashmir so far,' he maintained.

Paying rich tributes to the valiant armed forces of Pakistan, he said the brave soldiers of Pakistan Army were giving supreme sacrifices for the defense of the motherland. 'This is the result of high spirit of our valiant soldiers who are making defense of the country besides scarifying their lives against Hinduvta,' Waleed added.

He said India had deployed more than 9 lac soldiers in Indian Occupied Kashmir. It was not a myth but we must be cautioned that India was knocking on Neelum and Jehlum vallies through the frequent violations of the ceasefire at the Line of Control. 'This is the time to infuse complete unity and harmony in our ranks,' he said.
