IT is comical to see on television and read in the newspapers how our once-mighty leaders tend to become unwell no sooner than they are put behind bars.

The medical profession comes to their rescue by pronouncing them unfit for jails and they are moved to lavish treatments in hospitals.

They have become so used to the luxuries of life that they berate the conditions of jails and expect the best medical treatment - at the state's expense too.
