Iranian FM calls on army chief.

RAWALPINDI -- Mohammad Javad Zarif, Foreign Minister of Iran called on Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and the two discussed at length a set of matters related to border management , defense and regional peace and security.

According to military spokesperson the two exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and regional security during the meeting.

Afghan reconciliation process was also discussed at length in the meeting. Pak-Iran border management and border markets related matters came under discussion.

Army Chief said the growing cooperation between Pakistan and Iran will leave positive impact on regional peace and security.

Iranian foreign minister lauded Pakistan positive role for regional stability. He appreciated Pakistan role in Afghan peace process and reiterated the resolve work will continue for promotion of better relations...
