Iqbal Imam is confident to win T20 World Cup under Bismah's leadership.

Pakistan women's team head coach Iqbal Imam praised Bismah Maroof's captaincy and is confident to win upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup under her leadership.

In an interaction with reporters on the sidelines of a training camp ahead of the mega event in Karachi, Imam said that Bismah is a skilled batter and captaincy makes her a strong member of the team.

'I am confident as far as Bismah is there in the team. She leads the team from the front and I hope she will do the same in the upcoming mega event,' Imam showed immense confidence in the skipper.

Talking about team combination, Imam said it is a mixture of youngsters and experienced players which overall makes a competitive squad for the Wolrd Cup.

'If you see our squad, there are players who can be at their best in the extravaganza. We have Javeria Khan, the run-machine. She can hit the ball hard in the powerplay and can give us a steady start with the bat. Then, there is Nida Dar who can be lethal for us while filling as an all-rounder,

'Bismah, obviously, is there to support the team and if we come onto youngsters then we have the likes of Aroob Shah, young spinner, pacer Fatima Sana, Ayesha Naseem. Overall, a competitive squad we have and I am confident that this squad can beat world-class teams,' he said.

A seven-day long camp in Pakistan and a nine-day long camp in Australia will give ample space to the players to strongly get ready for the event according to the head coach.
