Inter-faith harmony stressed.

LAHORE -- Speakers at a conference on Wednesday emphasised the importance of religious tolerance and coexistence among people of different faiths.

The international conference on 'Religions and World Peace' was organised by the University of Education (UoE) at its main Township campus.

UoE Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha presided over the conference, while Prof Dr Arshad Muneer Laghari, who is the director of Seerat Chair at the Ghazi University, DG Khan, was the chief guest.

Division of Islamic and Oriental Learning Director Prof Dr Waheedur Rehman and Prof Dr Shahbaz Manj briefed the participants regarding conference's objectives. He said the conference aimed to discuss the role of religion in promoting peace and harmony in the world.
