Int NGO faces closure under new govt.

Plan International, a multinational non-governmental organisation with headquarters in Surrey, is shutting down operations in Pakistan upon the directions of the ruling party. The NGO was reportedly asked to wind up its work after the interior ministry rejected its application for registration.

The non-profit had been operating in Pakistan for the last two decades and was sponsoring 25,000 children in the country on a budget amounting to more than 8.3 million euros.
