KARACHI -- A man found wounded in Pak Colony died while being taken to hospital, police said on Tuesday.
They added that a man was found in a wounded condition in Khaji Ground in Old Golimar on Monday night.
He was initially taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital from where he was referred to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. A police officer said that when they reached the JPMC, they were told that the wounded man was again taken to the ASH, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
After fulfilling legal formalities, the body was taken to the Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth where the victim was identified on Tuesday as Heera, 35.
The victim belonged to the Hindu community, and lived in Ilyas Goth.
He was hit by a single bullet in his shoulder. Area SHO Rehmatullah Khan Marwat said that initial probe revealed that the victim was an 'informer' of law enforcers and might have been murdered over his spy work.
