India have done nothing since winning ODI World Cup in 2011: Michael Vaughan.

KARACHI -- After India's embarrassing exit from the T20 World Cup 2022, former England captain Michael Vaughan has said that India have done 'nothing' since winning the ODI World Cup 2011 in their backyard.

The men in blue were hammered by England after a destructive batting performance by Jos Buttler and Alex Hales at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday.

Put to bat first, India posted a modest 169 runs, thanks to half-centuries from Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya. However, the set target was not enough for the Indian bowlers to defend as Hales and Buttler showed aggressive intent, amassing 80 and 86 runs respectively to complete the chase for England in 16 overs.

After their exit from the World Cup, Vaughan slammed India for their dismal performance, criticizing them for underperforming at world events since winning the 50-over World Cup after beating Sri Lanka in the final at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

"India are the most under-performing white-ball team in history. Every player in the world who goes to the Indian Premier League says how it improves their game but what have India ever delivered?

"Since winning the 50 over World Cup on home soil in 2011 what have they done? Nothing. India are playing a white-ball game that is dated and have done for years," the former cricketer wrote in his column for The Telegraph.

After beating India, England will be locking horns with Pakistan in final of T20 World Cup 2022 on November 13 in Melbourne.

Imran Khan, who led Pakistan to its maiden World Cup in 1992, became the prime minister of Pakistan in 2018.
