Imran to lead main rally from Kutchery Chowk.

RAWALPINDI -- Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has prepared its plan for November 26 according to which Imran Khan will lead a caravan of supporters from Kutchery Chowk to Shamsabad.

After the PTI chairman asked his supporters to gather in the garrison city on November 26, the party assigned local leaders the task to welcome the main rally to be led by Mr Khan at different points.

PTI former MPA Arif Abbasi told Dawn that the party had prepared a plan for November 26 and divided the city into four parts. He said Imran Khan would be welcomed first at Kutchery Chowk followed by Liaquat Bagh, Committee Chowk and at the final destination at Shamsabad.

Mr Abbasi said he and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed will welcome the rally at Committee Chowk, Ijaz Khan Jazi at Liaquat Bagh and Fayyazul Hassan Chohan at Shamsabad.

He said once in Rawalpindi Imran will announce the further plan - whether or not to enter Islamabad. However, he said the party had made arrangements in case of a call for marching to Islamabad.

He said the party had assigned the duties of all union council heads of the PTI to bring maximum workers and supporters to the rally. Corner meetings will be started in all the union councils from Sunday evening.

On the other hand, another senior party leader told Dawn that November 26 was likely to be a public meeting and the participants would disperse peacefully. He said the district administration and the police had been asked to make arrangements for the security of the party chairman and participants of the rally.
