Imran shocks ex-world champion Naseem.

ISLAMABAD -- Imran Khan registered an upset victory against former IBSF U-18 world champion Mohammad Naseem Akhtar in the pre-quarterfinal of the Jubilee Insurance U-21 National Junior Snooker Championship here at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Seventh seed Imran of Islamabad convincingly defeated second seed Naseem 4-1 (61-47, 65-11, 72-63, 17-63, 56-28) to qualify for the quarter-final. Naseem of Punjab had made the headlines in 2017 for the winning IBSF U-18 World Championship.

Meanwhile, top seed Harish Tahir easily overwhelmed Farhan Majeed, also from Punjab, to move into the quarter-final.
