Imran Khan, PTI 'will be history' after next general election, says Khuhro.

LARKANA -- Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh president Senator Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that Imran Khan and his Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) will become history after the forthcoming general election.

The drama of foreign 'conspiracy' of Imran Khan's ouster should now be stopped after the recent statement of the ISPR director general, said Khuhro in a press statement issued on Wednesday after presiding over a meeting at Naudero House.

He said there was no 'evidence' during two meetings of the National Security Committee regarding the US-backed conspiracy. Khan's imaginary conspiracy should now be exposed, he said.

He demanded if the then Pakistani ambassador to the US had any audio or video tape evidence regarding the 'foreign conspiracy', he should unveil it, otherwise, why people should believe such a hypothetical story, he added.

He said Imran Khan might have annoyed the US as in the past, he had played role in constituting the Taliban government in Afghanistan. He called the foreign conspiracy theory of Imran as baseless.

Regarding foreign-funding case of the PTI pending decision with the Election Commission, he said the PTI was applying delaying tactics and mounting pressure to stop the ECP from announcing the verdict. However, he was confident that the PTI would find no route to escape.

He urged the ECP to announce a decision in PTI's foreign-funding case on merit in line with the constitution, legality and the available documentary evidence.
