Imran Khan harming Pakistan Army through his unwise narrative: Saeed Ghani.

KARACHI -- Sindh Labour and Human Resources Minister, Saeed Ghani, has said that Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has been harming the Pakistan Army through his unwise narrative.

Talking to media persons here on Tuesday at the inauguration of the 19th Pharma Asia International Exhibition and Conference, the Labour Minister said that appointment of the new army chief in the country should occur in a timely fashion as the incumbent Prime Minister only should use his authority in this regard.

He said that apart from the appointment of the new army chief, appointments against several key positions had to take place in the country on a meritorious basis as the narrative of Imran Khan in this regard was condemnable.

He told media persons that teams of the relevant departments and agencies had been mobilised on an emergency basis by the Sindh government to tackle the recent flood emergency.

He said the Sindh government had been constantly monitoring the emergency rescue and relief work in the flood-hit areas of the province to resolve the complaints of the people facing the grave calamity.

He said that the accumulation of rainwater and flooding in the affected areas had caused the outbreak of dengue fever and other viral diseases in the calamity-hit areas of the province. He said that viral diseases in the aftermath of the flooding caused a widespread health emergency in Sindh.

Ghani cautioned the people to prevent the accumulation of clean water anywhere near them to prevent the spread of dengue infection.

He said that due focus should be given to overcoming the shortage of essential medicines for treating dengue fever and other viral diseases. He said the Sindh government had also been conducting fumigation campaigns...
