Ill-fated Tezgam Express brings Pindi passengers.

RAWALPINDI -- The ill-fated Tezgam Express, which caught fire on Thursday near Rahimyar Khan, arrived at the Rawalpindi Railway Station early Friday morning, bringing passengers of the remaining coaches.

Pakistan Railways had made arrangements to receive the passengers at 3:45am. The train again departed on its route from Rawalpindi to Karachi at 8am.

The passengers belonging to Rawalpindi were saved from the tragedy and returned home. Moving scenes were witnessed at the railway station when their relatives received them.

'I came to receive my son who works in Karachi and has come to Rawalpindi after six months,' said Mohammad Ayub, a resident of Arya Mohallah.

He said though he was in contact with his son after the incident, he wanted to see him. He said he came to the railway station to receive his son.

'The railways authorities said the train would arrive at 12 midnight but it arrived at 3:45am and we had to wait long to receive my family,' said Javed Iqbal, a resident of Mohanpura.

He said that his wife and two sons were coming from Karachi after a two-month stay. He said usually, he went to Karachi to bring his family but due to his work, he could not go.
