IIUI suspends two officials.

ISLAMABAD -- Following the recent gruesome clash between two student groups that left one student killed and over a dozen injured, the administration of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) on Monday suspended student adviser and provost.

According to a notification issued by IIUI, on recommendations of the committee constituted for holding talks with students, Assistant Professor/Provost Mohammad Shoaib Abdullah and Associate Professor and Student Adviser Dr Tariq Javed have been suspended with immediate effect and till further orders.

Their deputies will look after the routine matters of their offices.

IIUI's spokesperson Nasir Farid said that both officials have been suspended on the direction of the communication committee.
