IHC seeks reply from PM in defamation case against Khawaja Asif.

ISLAMABAD -- The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday issued a notice to Prime Minister Imran Khan and sought his reply in a defamation case against PML-N Parliamentary Party Leader in National Assembly Khawaja Muhammad Asif.

The IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah conducted a hearing of a petition against the trial court verdict in PM Imran's defamation suit of Rs 10 billion against Khawaja Asif.

During the hearing, Justice Minallah asked whether Khawaja Asif has any objection on proceedings of the case in the IHC as this court has ordered his disqualification.

To this, Khawaja Asif's counsel replied that his client has no objection to it.

The PML-N leader adopted a stance that defamation case against Khawaja Asif was pending since 2012.
