IHC hears plea against ban on JUI-F's Ansarul Islam.

ISLAMABAD -- The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday directed Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) to inform the federal capital Deputy Commissioner about workers of its subordinate organization 'Ansarul Islam'.

The IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the plea against the ban on JUI-F's Ansarul Islam.

The interior ministry representative appeared before the court to explain the reasoning behind the ban which had been demanded by the court in a prior proceeding.

During the hearing, the prosecution argued that the political party in question, Jamiat e Ulema Islam Fazl (JUI-F) had written two applications in the context of the organization in question.

In one application, the JUI-F owned Ansarul Islam as it's subordinate whereas, in the second application, the party distanced itself from the outfit.
