IGP for redressing citizens' complaints received at 8787.

LAHORE -- Inspector General of Police Shoaib Dastgir says the resolution of issues faced by the citizens is top priority of police and the circle officers who do not contact the complainant on time or take timely steps for redress for the complaints will have to face accountability.

According to a handout, he said every complainant registering a complaint on 8787 should be dealt with courteously and timely steps must be ensured for resolution of the complaint and preference should be given to the complaints received by the Pakistan Citizen Portal.

The IGP was chairing a session regarding integration of front desk CMS with 8787 complaint centre on Thursday.

He stated that for facilitation of the citizens, a followup of applications received by the call, e-mail, SMS and post should be kept so that service delivery might be improved by provision of immediate justice to the citizens.
