'If Senate elections can hold before schedule then there is no harm in adopting the same method for general elections'.

Hyderabad -- Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Senator Sirajul Haq has said that if PTI is bent upon conducting the Senate elections before schedule then there is no harm in adopting the same method for general elections.

Talking to journalists here on Friday, he said the Senate election should be held according to the process described in the constitution but if the government was considering some other options, the parliament was the right forum of it. He said it seemed the PTI and the two main constituent parties of the PDM were afraid from their party members' betrayal and were not ready to trust on them.

In fact, he said, the PTI, the PPP and the PML-N were the sides of the same coin and there was no major difference in their policies. All parties ruled the country but did nothing for the welfare of the public.

'At least now the political parties show some seriousness and join hand to bring electoral reforms.'
