LAHORE -- Namibian cricketer and an integral part of Lahore Qalandars for the last five years, David Wiese highly rated the franchise which is one of the most followed teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.

Speaking to media, Wiese said he feels at home in Qalandars' family. "It's honour to be a part of Lahore Qalandars," said Wiese. "It's rare that you get a chance to play for a franchise for five years. I get a lot of love and support here due to which I often feel like an adopted son of Lahore," he added.

Wiese represented Karachi Kings for only one season before joining Qalandars. He has so far played 42 PSL matches since 2018 and led Qalandars to victories several times. The right-handed batter scored 521 runs at an average of 26.05. Also, he has taken 35 wickets in the league.

While talking about Shaheeen Shah Afridi's captaincy, Wiese said he is cool and calm with an ability to take wise decisions.

"Shaheen has been fantastic as a captain. He took captaincy at a younger age and improved himself by the time," he highlighted.
