Huge blow for Pakistan as Shadab sidelined for six weeks due to thigh injury.

Karachi -- Pakistan's white-ball vice-captain Shadab Khan has been ruled out of action for six weeks after MRI scans confirmed an injury to the left thigh.

The 22-year-old has been advised six-week rest due to which he will miss the second Test against New Zealand in Christchurch and the home series against South Africa, starting from January 26.

Shadab was diagnosed with 'high-grade full-thickness tear to the Rectus Femoris muscle', an injury he had sustained during the third T20I against New Zealand in Napier.

PCB's Dr. Sohail Saleem said that the MRI reports have confirmed it is a fresh injury and not the one that had sidelined him from the Zimbabwe series last month.
