Huge amount allocated for uplift of tribal districts, says CM.

PESHAWAR -- Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said that a huge amount of Rs83 billion has been allocated for development of tribal districts.

He was addressing a khuli kutcheri in Garyum area of North Waziristan tribal district, said a statement issued here.

He said that Rs2.92 billion was already released for the land utilisation of Miramshah market and Rs6.9 billion was provided to Tribal Electric Supply Company (Tesco) for electrification in North Waziristan.

He said that electrification project for Garyum area had been started in 2017 with an estimated cost of Rs197.978 million under which 11KV feeder was installed and inaugurated on Thursday. The feeder will provide electricity to 55 villages of the area.

The statement said that MPAs Mir Kalam, Iqbal Wazir and Malik Shah Mohammad Wazir besides tribal elders attended the khuli kutcheri. It said that chief minister listened to the problems of local people and issued directives for their resolution on the spot.
