HR Ministry takes several initiatives to protect rights of transgenders.
ISLAMABAD -- Ministry of Human Rights took several initiatives to protect rights of transgenders, which include Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018 and drafted rules on basis of national consultations.
According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, first national committee has been established to implement Transgender Person Act 2018. Ministry of Human Rights also developed SOPs for protection and training guidelines for police in English and Urdu.
