Hospitals in capital provided 189 oxygenated beds for Covid-19 patients.

ISLAMABAD -- Considering the complaints of Covid-19 patients, 189 oxygenated beds have been provided to public sector hospitals in the federal capital raising their total capacity by almost three times.

There were 113 oxygenated beds allocated for Covid-19 patients in these hospitals and the number has now reached 302.

The National Coordination and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Thursday announced that the beds have been provided to the hospitals.

On Thursday, the NCOC announced that 117 beds have been provided to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) where 75 beds were already available.

As many as 59 oxygenated beds have been provided to the Capital Hospital after which the number of beds increased to 83 in the hospital.

Moreover, it was also claimed that 13 beds had been provided to Polyclinic, raising the number of the beds to 27.

Besides, 21 and 20 ventilators have been provided to the Capital Hospital and Pims, respectively.
