Historical drama Ertugrul Ghazi sets record of popularity.

ISLAMABAD -- The historical Turkish drama serial 'Ertugrul Ghazi' (Dirilis) being aired on Pakistan Television (PTV) has set a world record of popularity among the viewers.

The popularity of the drama could be gauged from the fact that its first episode had been viewed by millions of people across Pakistan on PTV Home's YouTube channel, a PTV press release said on Sunday.

According to a public survey, the drama Ertugrul Ghazi was equally popular among children, adults and women in Pakistan, which was evident from social media trends. The number of daily phone calls, emails and other messages being received by the PTV showed its popularity among the Pakistani people.

The story of 'Ertugrul Ghazi' is based on the ascendance of Muslims in the 12th Century, their quests and great deeds. It is undoubtedly a masterpiece, which has been dubbed by PTV on the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan...
