Heirs of Bajaur roof collapse victims get compensation.

BAJAUR -- Deputy commissioner Fahad Wazir here on Friday handed over a compensation cheque for Rs3 million to the family of six victims who died in a roof collapse incident in Khar town a few days ago.

An amount of Rs500,000 per victim was given to the bereaved family in a meeting held at the DC office. District coordinator of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority and a representative of the provincial minister for social welfare were also in attendance, said a statement issued from the DC office.

On this occasion, Mr Wazir expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and said that he was shocked over the incident that left six people, including five children, dead and six others wounded.
