HEC issued Rs 89 bln to Universities: Chairman Tarique Banuri.
NAWABSHAH -- The Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) Dr. Tarique Banuri, has said that institutes of higher education all around the country were provided Rs 89 billion while prime minister was requested to sanction additional Rs 20 billion.
Talking to media at Peoples Medical University (PMU) on Tuesday, he said Rs 60 billion were provided to 125 universities under different heads while Rs 29 billion were provided for development projects in institute of higher education.
Chairman HEC further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was requested for sanctioning additional funds amounting to Rs 20 billion to deal with different issues being faced by the Universities.
