Health dept orders probe after doctor attempts suicide.
KARACHI -- The health department has ordered an inquiry to verify bribery allegations levelled by a grade-19 doctor, who recently attempted suicide.
A notification said that Special Secretary-Health Nawaz Sohoo will conduct the inquiry into the allegations of Dr Abdul Aziz Sodhar against certain health officials.
The department said on Friday that Dr Sodhar, who was serving as the medical superintendent of a Malir hospital, had applied for four-month earned leave.
