Haripur man gets life term for murder of uncle.

HARIPUR -- The court of additional sessions judge Ghazi here on Monday sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murder of his uncle.

According to prosecution, Noman Ali, a resident of village Padra in Ghazi tehsil, shot dead his uncle Rshid Ali with a pistol on July 1, 2020, when he admonished him for misbehaviour with his father.

Ghazi police arrested him on the complaint of his father. The court of Additional Sessions Judge Wajid Ali sentenced Noman to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs400,000 on him after hearing arguments of both the sides.

The court also awarded him two years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs10,000 on him for possessing unlicensed pistol.

Meanwhile, a man was electrocuted in a remote village of Sera-i-Nehmat Khan union council.

Family sources said that Chanwaiz Khan, 35, was repairing his cousin's house and was present on the rooftop when he accidentally touched the high voltage electricity line. The shock was so severe that he died on the spot.

He was shifted to Haripur Trauma Centre for medico-legal procedure. His family members said that they had requested Pesco staff several times for removal of electricity wires but they failed to respond which resulted in the death...
