Halt PML-N resignations avalanche, PM 'tasks' Punjab governor.

ISLAMABAD -- Prime Minister Imran Khan has tasked Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar to somehow halt the resignations of the PML-N's national and provincial lawmakers, sources said on Saturday.

In a meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the Punjab governor to initiate contacts with the League members.

He also directed him to persuade the League members to join the PTI. The prime minister also asked the governor to offer them tickets in by-elections if they join the PTI.

According to the sources, Governor Sarwar will launch his mission by first contacting those PML-N legislators on whom he has some influence or are close to him.
