Haleem Adil write letter to CM, condemns politicizing of IGP transfer matter.

KARACHI -- Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Vice President and parliamentary party leader in Sindh assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh here Monday wrote a letter to the chief minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and strongly condemned the politicizing of the matter of transfer of IGP Sindh.

Haleem Adil said that he was writing this letter as his capacity of PTI vice president, parliamentary party leader in Sindh Assembly and an opposition in Sindh, which has 42percent representation in Sindh assembly.

He told Sindh CM that he (CM) had written three letters to the Prime Minister alleging him that he was not fulfilling promises. He said these allegations are totally wrong and baseless, and as an elected representative of people and member of opposition, he reserves the right to answer and clarify the facts.

He said he strongly condemns the politicizing of transfer of the IGP Sindh. He said to get sympathies you misguided people. For your kind information, for the transfer of the IGP, the Sindh government is bound for consultation with the federal government. He said as per his information, when Sindh government started consultation, the federal government responded positively, as per the spirit of the pact of 1993 between the provinces and the federation.

Haleem Adil said as you decided to get transferred the IGP after consultation with your cabinet, Prime Minister Imran Khan also consulted with his cabinet. In the first meeting of federal cabinet on January 28, 2020 the matter of the IGP transfer was on the top of the agenda. The cabinet decided to consult with the Sindh governor, who represents the federation, but you (CM) refused to talk to the Sindh governor and started leveling political allegations.

Haleem Adil said later, a letter was written to the Prime Minister in which objections were raised on press conference of information adviser Firdous Ashiq Awan, despite she had only briefed the media about the decisions of the cabinet, while Sindh information advisor had leveled allegations and presented a charge sheet in his one-hour long press conference against the IGP...
