Gunmen snatch two lives, Rs1.7m.

KASUR -- Gunmen shot dead two employees of a petrol pump on Monday near Habibabad bypass in the limits of Pattoki police station.

They took away Rs1.7 million from the deceased. The incident sparked protest as hundreds of people, including the family members of the deceased, blocked Multan Road near Habibabad bypass and threw traffic out of gear to express their concern over lawlessness.

Rashid Ali and Muhammad Khadim were riding a motorcycle and were going to deposit Rs1.7 million in a local bank when near Habibabad bypass, the gunmen, who were also on a motorcycle, held them.
