Gunmen get kiln law violators freed from custody.

CHINIOT -- An assistant commissioner (AC) was allegedly threatened with consequences for taking into custody a kiln owner and two minor labourers and their father overviolationof kiln laws here in Bhawana on Monday.

As per police, Bhowana AC Syed Munawar Bokhari was on routine patrolling when he saw children working as labourer at the kiln of Muhammad Irfan at Chak 246-JB.The officer detained the kiln owner, two underage labourers and their father in his official vehicle.

Near Adda Rehmoana, five gunmen, including Muhammad Ali, Ansar, Akbar and Muhammad Arif, blocked the road, brandished arms and threatened to kill the AC before fleeing the scene with the detained people.

On the application of the AC, the Langrana police registered a case multiple sections of the Pakistan Penal Code and sections 5 and 6 of the Punjab Prohibition of Child Labour at Brick Kilns Act 2016 without any arrest.
