Gunman killed in 'encounter'.

VEHARI -- An alleged gunman was killed in an encounter with the police on Thursday in Mauza Gahfoorwah, 30 kilometres from here, while his three accomplices fled.

According to a press release by the police, the police learned about the presence of four gunmen at their hideout. The police raided the place only to be met with resistance.

Both sides exchange fire for one hour. Later, the police found Sajid, alias Saji, killed at the scene and the three others missing. These gunmen were active in Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur and Pakpatan...
